Series of butterflies and moths rendered in inks foraged and distilled by the artist. Over the course of a year, the landscapes of Margate from its beaches and woods to its streets were explored to produce a unique palette. Pigments derived from materials such as Brick, Blue Copper Oxide, rosebuds, Walnut tree, seaweed, and cliff chalk lend their essence to the work, capturing the very soul of the natural world at the artist's doorstep.
